Vintage cottage decor is an act of love. Cottage decor is welcoming, bright and simple and gives a feeling of satisfaction and relaxation to the dweller. Even a small room makes decorating a challenge; you can make the most of your small cabin bedroom by choosing the right paint colors and furnishings.
Choose a light and bright wall paint color. A light yellow or light blue works fine for a vintage cottage decor, making it smooth and gender-neutral for the visitors. Place a twin or double bed in the middle of the room against a wall. A twin or full-sized mattress would be a better choice if you do not want to receive a pair.
Use whitewashed furniture and headboard. Whitewashed furniture is very chic cabin and maintains the bright room cleaning. Buy a small side table and chest of drawers to complete the vintage cottage decor. Select beds. Home furnishings often dress beds with a floral theme sheet sets and hand quilted quilt. If you go with floral linens, do not overdo it. Throw a white roll of the end of the bed to set off the pattern even more.
Place a mirror to reflect light from windows in the room. A mirror with a whitewashed frame or barn wood frame fits nicely on a dresser or near the door. Hang a few short bookshelves around a window or high above the bed to provide additional display space. Add some vintage cottage object such as a small bird cage, perfume bottles and water jugs to complete the cabin look. Use white window treatments; choose a white sheer curtain and white shutters.
